This just in from our friends at Mountain Top Music Center: What better way to start the “good old summertime” than to treat yourself to a live old fashioned barbershop quartet concert in a quaint New England village church setting. Please join Mountain Top Music Center in welcoming REWIND! Barbershop Quartet for their one hour performance at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 23rd at Lutheran Church of the Nativity, located at the corner of Grove Street and Route 16 in North Conway Village, NH. There is no admission; however donations are gratefully accepted. Prior to the concert, lunch will be served next door at the Gibson Center 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. and is open to the public. Members of REWIND! Barbershop Quartet will attend the lunch and speak briefly at noon. Reservations are not required for the lunch or concert. We are grateful to the following sponsors who generously covered the cost of the musicians of this event: Kent the Barber, Wavelengths, The Cutoff, The Last Tangle, Old Village Barber, Maximus Salon and Combing Attractions.
REWIND!, a close-harmony vocal quartet, brings audiences close-in to share their love of pre-70’s vocal music, from doo-wop to pop to spirituals and patriotic standards. Their upbeat music draws on performances and vocal competitions each quartet member has independently undertaken over a number of years—actually thirty-four years for their most experienced member. REWIND members Joe Hayden, Jay Lachance, Harvey Beetle, and Bob Farnham hail from Candia, Manchester, Belmont and Alton Bay, New Hampshire.
