Buy great clutter-free presents from the comfort of my own home?!?

Yes! You do not have to go fight the crowds the day after Thanksgiving! ACT board president Annie Riecken writes in with a list of compelling reasons to give ACT tickets or gift certificates this holiday season. Our remaining shows are so diverse that there is sure to be something to please every taste. You can buy tickets online here, and ask to have them held at the door in the name of the recipient, or call 603-323-8104 to have real live tickets sent to you, or to purchase a gift certificate in any amount.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Arts Council of Tamworth, ACT, has some great shows coming up this winter and spring. Sunday, January 31 we are teaming with the Mountain Story Tellers Guild and Tin Mountain Conservation Center to present an afternoon of New England stories for the whole family; Sunday, February 21 we present the Boston String Quartet in an afternoon concert of their own arrangements of classical chamber music, rock, jazz, world music and more; Saturday, March 20, we present local favorites Jonathan Sarty and the White Mountain Boys, with opening act Audio Kickstand, at the Brass Heart Inn for an evening of kick-up your heels fun; and on May 8 we bring the satiric string band Austin Lounge Lizards to Tamworth.

Giving tickets to any of our shows is a great way to let your gift money support the community and give a present that suprpises and delights. Don't give ties, fruitcake or Santa-sweaters this year: give the joy and magic of live performance!

You can read about the performers, see the whole season's schedule, buy tickets, and generally have fun, at www.artstamworth.org; if you are less internet inclined, you can buy tickets by calling ACT at 323-8104.
