The chicken that started it all? [artist: Lianne Prentice]

A note from Lianne:

Hello art and chicken fans,

As part of The Community School's on-going effort to showcase the work of local artists in our lobby, we're hosting a display of chicken art. This could include paintings, collage, photos, sculpture or more--all with a chicken theme. We are looking for contributions to this display of locally-crafted or other works.

All artworks should be brought to The Community School on either Wednesday, December 2 or Thursday, December 3 between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Original works should include the artist's name, title, medium, and price (or NFS). While work does not need to be framed, it must be ready for hanging. This display will run through January. All work should be picked up on Wednesday, January 27 or Thursday, January 29 between 9-5.

If you would be willing to add your chicken art to our temporary collection, joining Nicole Maher-Whiteside, Juno Lamb, Lianne Prentice, and other chicken-minded artists, please give me a call at school, 323-7000.

For those who are interested in visiting this fun display, come by any time during school hours (8-4ish). Thursday lunches are especially good times to enjoy delicious locally-raised food while taking in the art. Only a few weeks left to see Wendy Ketchum's glorious collection of prints and paintings inspired by her wooly friends at Schoolhouse Farm. Come by!
