This just in from Kate Thompson:
Hoping you can save the evening of Monday, November 9 for the 3rd annual Harvest Potluck Supper and Barn Dance at the Brett School.
Thought up by the Tamworth PTA initially, and this year sponsored by the PTA, the K. A. Brett Wellness Committee and Sustainable Tamworth (that's us!) this event has been a wonderful time, both years past.
Bring a favorite dish to share at 5:30, using local food if possible. (All were deeelicious last year!)
The dance is 6:30 to 8:30. This year it will be called by wonderful Lucy Gatchell and Dexter Harding of Jackson, with the band Hole in the Hedge. No expertise or social angst needed, all dances are taught, and anyone can dance with anyone, age 3-93... It's fine to just watch, too.
A great time to visit with old friends and make new connections in the Tamworth and Brett community.
It's so fun to contra dance with really tall people and really small people at the same time. Makes those bridges to duck under extra-exciting! Wait until you try it...
