At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, Peggy Johnson will present an illustrated talk at the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth Village: Historic Artists of Tamworth. The program is jointly sponsored by the Cook Library and the Tamworth Historical Society. Peggy is a local artist and art enthusiast who designed the Cook Memorial Library's 2011 Tamworth Historic Artists Calendar. The calendar includes works by the late Herb Damon, Marjoree Deo, Ellen Eldridge, Ellen Eppelsheiner, Willey Fromm, Iley Irwin, Walter Johnson, Sam'l Newsom, Marion Nickerson, Mac Lloyd, Edouard Sandoz and Kit Semmes, just as an example. The talk is not limited by the twelve months of the year and may include others of Tamworth's fine painters of the past. Come and enjoy a delightful series of images and learn more about their creators.
This is the Tamworth Historical Society's program for the month of August. It is free, and refreshments will be served following the presentation.
