Idol Hands: foot tappin' fun to support Community School

The incomparable Idol Hands is ready to get your feet tapping so you can shake off the late-winter blues with a little bluegrass, folk and other original tunes. Doug, Peter, Lisa, and Bob have loads of musical talent and patter that can't help but make you smile. Why miss out on this incredibly affordable (only $10!) excuse for a night out, especially when a night out is what many of us need in these darker days of the year? Come celebrate the band's new CD, "See Around That Corner." This gem is chock full of fresh hits and fresh takes on favorites. You think you know Idol Hands, but do you?

If the music isn't enough to get you to put your boots on and start the car, then consider this: Idol Hands is donating a portion of the proceeds from the evening to The Community School's trip fund. This will make it possible for all students at TCS to travel this spring, either to Washington D.C. as part of their American history studies or to Costa Rica to follow their environmental science threads.

You can have fun and support locally-grown education, too. As Peter would say, "such a deal!"

The show will be held at Salyards Center for the Arts in Conway Village, this Saturday (2/25) at 7:30 PM. Refreshments will be sold. For more information, call The Community School at 323-7000 or Dangerous Doug at 284-6414.

Hope to see you! Lianne Prentice 323-7000
