Auction with Entertainment coming right up

This Saturday, May 5, at the Brass Heart Inn in Chocorua, the Arts Council's Benefit Auction with Entertainment is finally happening. For several months we've been scurrying around to local businesses and artists asking for donations of items to auction and we've come up with an eclectic assortment of things useful (a cord of wood, a wheelbarrow, a beautiful baby quilt), delightful (a violet in a terrarium), artistic (a painting from Ashley Bullard, items from the Tamworth Artisans), fun (canoe rentals, NASCAR & NH Fishercats tickets) and delicious (a cherry pie, deviled eggs). There'll be music (vocal and instrumental) and a story, along with a live auction, delicious finger food, and a cash bar. Please join us for a snack and a drink during the preview at 6 and be entertained by strolling fiddlers Allie and Siena. The evening's main entertainment gets underway at 7 with a story from Ed Fayle. Professional auctioneers Rob and Tom Troon will get the auction underway after the story. We want you to have a minute to stretch your legs and get another drink, so after a while we'll take a break, then have a little musical interlude with Stanza XXI and a couple of songs from Peter Heimlich. Then some more auctioning and a closing number from a different, as yet nameless, vocal quartet assembled just for this event.
