As predicted, Zili Misik had us all dancing in the aisles!

DFD-6707We were privileged last week to spend two days playing and learning with the talented and soulful Kera Washington. Every kid in the Brett School got to sing, dance and learn rhythms with her, as did the couple dozen community members who came to her Thursday night workshop. On Friday she was joined by her extraordinary band who performed two energetic, joy-filled concerts, one at the school, one at The Barnstormers, both with participation from Brett students. More photos and video of this artist residency will be available soon. In the meantime, enormous thank yous are in order. So much help, support, and love are required to make these residencies a success. Thank you to Jim Alt, Dale Bragdon, Chris Canfield, Molly Canfield, Willa Canfield, Laura Campbell, Tom Chiappisi, Chris Clyne, Shelby Comstock, Andy Davis, John & Kathie Dyrenforth, Diana Evans, Lisa Ferguson, Ken Hawkins, Siena Kaplan, Peg Loughran, Melanie McBrian, Chris Misavage, Jamie Oakes, Potluck Singers, Annie Provenzano, Rebekah Pugh, Margaret Rieser, Belle Stafford, Sunnyfield Bakery, The Tamworth Lyceum, Allie Thompson, Kristina Troon, Kate Vachon, Sarah Wright and many more.
