Before the performance, come taste a delicious supper, spiced with the romance of the Arabian Nights! Feast on favorite dishes from the world of Sheherezade’s stories! From 4.30 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 19th, an à la carte supper will be available at modest prices, served from a decorated tent opposite the Barnstormers, with seating in the Town House or on the grass. Grammy Gordon’s Bakery in Tamworth has generously offered to prepare this feast, with the community donating some very tasty ingredients, to help raise funds for the children’s theater.

Snapdragon Theatre Guild is excited to announce its spring production,
ARABIAN NIGHTS. This will be a production of some of the famous stories in the cycle, such as those of Sinbad and Aladdin, together with a revival of a complementary short play from the TLC canon. Because the play will have various “acts”, it will lend itself to our fulfilling our mission to give performance opportunities to students aged 5-12, from Tamworth, Sandwich and the surrounding area.
Arabian Nights will be a full-scale production in a real theater, and there will be opportunities for a range of roles and acting skills. On board on the directing side will be Will Cabell, Marion and Richard Posner, and Susan Yakutis, who has great experience of young people’s drama, and is also a board member of TLC. Will will also be in charge of set design, lighting and sound. We feel we have a great team!

The cast will be divided into THREE casts of players:
Cast A (ages 8-12) will be based in Sandwich for early rehearsals, and then join with the others in Tamworth. Very well focused and enthusiastic 6-7 year-olds would be considered for this group.
Cast B (ages 8-12) will be Tamworth-based throughout.
Cast C (ages 5-7) will be also be Tamworth-based, with a shorter program.
