Deadline for submitting ideas for Tamworth's 250th Mosaic Mural

January 28 is the deadline for submitting design elements for the Tamworth's 250th Mosaic Mural Project. Design elements can be in the form of actual drawings made by you, which will be incorporated more or less as is into the mosaic template, or inspiration for the artist in the form of old or new photographs, stories, poems, sayings, and ideas about what you would like to see included in the mosaic. Think symbolically—for example, the scale of these mosaics won't allow for large-scale portraits of individuals, so you can help us with ideas about how to represent a person you feel should be included, e.g. Flight Officer Kenneth A. Brett could be represented by a WWII warplane.

Please send design elements as JPGs or PDFs (or just an email, in the case of ideas) to Read more about the project here, and about the December 17 presentation with artist David Fichter here. You can also download a handy form here, fill it out, and leave it in the Community Mailbox at The Other Store or the Cook or Chocorua Library. Please consider printing out one of these forms and sharing it with someone who might not have access to the internet.

Big thanks to The Tamworth Foundation for a generous grant in support of this project. Donate in support of our work here. Find out about sponsoring the mosaic mural here.
