About the Yeoman’s Fund for the Arts
Mission Statement
The Yeoman’s Fund promotes and funds programs and events that strengthen the bonds of community by reaching a broad range of area residents across the generations, exposing them to artistic excellence, involving them in the creative process, and leading them to lives of greater creativity, self-expression and joy.
History
The Yeoman’s Fund was started in 2000, in an attempt to keep present in our community something like the seamless and delightful teaching of “Music Man” Bob Bates.
The Yeomen promote arts and teachers of new or expanded skill sets to area residents of all ages. Camps and workshops always culminate in a presentation to the public.
No teacher is sponsored for more than three years, but we are proud to report the spontaneous calving of several of the arts and artists featured in Yeoman camps.
