Join us for a captivating evening of theater as we proudly present "Dreaming Again," a thought-provoking production that touches the heart and soul. This event takes place on October 23, 2023 at the UUFES in Tamworth, NH. The performance will begin at 6:30 PM.

~About the production~

In 2012, New Hampshire Humanities entrusted the talented playwright Genevieve Aichele with a profound mission—to bring the real-life stories of refugees and immigrants in New Hampshire to life on the stage. The result was "Dreaming Again," a powerful play inspired by oral interviews with over 40 individuals who embarked on transformative journeys to resettle in the Granite State.

"Dreaming Again" made its mark through performances by the NHTP across New Hampshire, captivating primarily adult audiences. The production boasts a multicultural cast of five actors and three musicians, all of whom skillfully embody multiple roles. The play comes alive with music that resonates from diverse cultures and traditions, beautifully arranged by Agnes Charlesworth.

Reflecting the continued relevance of New Hampshire's role as a refugee resettlement state, "Dreaming Again" remains as poignant today as it was a decade ago. This performance presents a tapestry of real stories shared by individuals living in our state today. By hearing their personal experiences, audience members gain deeper understanding, fostering empathy and forging connections that transcend boundaries.

This event is a celebration of unity, diversity, and the human spirit. We invite you to be a part of this moving theatrical journey that reminds us of the power of resilience, hope, and dreams.

Reserve your spot for this unforgettable evening. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so make sure to secure your place in advance. Don't miss out on this opportunity to witness "Dreaming Again" and embrace the remarkable stories that shape our community.
